We have been saving money for a trip to Europe. It is the ultimate item on #TheMandiList. We have been saying we will go to Europe every year since we got married in 2007, but every year work or money has made it so we couldn't go. With the grand old Stage IV (terminal) breast cancer diagnosis looming over my head, we are throwing all reasons not to go in the air and are planning the trip of a lifetime. We have been saving money for almost a year now and friends and family have helped out. A trip registry seemed much more fun than a GoFundme page to help us pay for this big trip (and hopefully not completely break the bank)! Lunch in Athens. I love Greek food. So does Mike! We will have worked up quite the appetite after exploring the Accropolis and will be eating everything that isn't stuffed in a grape leaf.

I booked a room with a view on Airbnb, which translates to hike up 8 flights of stairs so that Mandi can sit on a terrace. A terrace isn't complete without a bottle of wine for Mandi and a glass of whiskey for Mike

The Firenze card is the secret to no lines according to my good friend Rick Steves (we just know each other from me watching his videos planning our trip). This pays access to most museums and lets us skip the line during our stay in Florence.

You get more access to the Colusseum at night (and maybe a few spooks)! This tour has a maximum of 25 people, small and quiet. It says: for the first time in ages, access to the underground and arena floor areas recently opened on a very limited basis.

AirBNB allowed us to reserve a room with a view in Florence. I am going to be working with a trainer in order to be able to hike the 5 floors necessary to get to my own terrace. This helps pay for one night in the room with a view.

Want to throw down on our cruise? I reserved a suite, hopefully it will be pretty suite - I don't know which we will get because it is just a suite level guarantee. If you are going to live large on the Mediterranean, this is how we are going to go.
