Thank you for visiting our Honeymoon Registry! We decided to register for the gift of travel rather than traditional gifts because we have been very fortunate to have all we need for our house. The best part of this registry is that your gifts will be directly tied to activities on our honeymoon that will become some of our fondest memories. If you know Kevin and I, you know that we are not your "traditional" kind of couple. We tend to do things a little backwards, a little out of the ordinary, so this registry should come as no surprise!! :)

We just want to take this opportunity to thank our family and friends for all the love and support that you have given us over the years.
Below you will see a number of different ways you can help send us on our way-- by chipping in for our plane tickets or a kayak trip to search for the infamous Nessie on the shores of Loch Ness!
Thanks again and we can't wait to see you at the wedding (or earlier!).

Love,
Michelene and Kevin

We're going to Scotland!

Our Honeymoon Extravaganza

Days 1&2

From Edinburgh Kevin and I will visit the Castle Campbell before arriving in Stirling , which is the scene of many of Scotland's historic battles and associated with a number of great Scottish heroes. At the Battle of Stirling Bridge 'Braveheart' William Wallace routed the English and at nearby Bannockburn and Robert the Bruce gained independence for Scotland. We will Visit Stirling Castle , once a royal seat that rivalled Edinburgh, the Wallace Monument and Bannockburn Heritage Centre and learn more about Scotland's battles with the 'auld enemy'.

Days 3 & 4

From there we will travel West into spectacular scenery of the Trossachs National Park to the shores of Loch Lomond. Stop in quaint town of Inverary, home of the powerful Campbell clan and visit Invararay Castle before turning south along the shores of Loch Fyne and in to the inspiring countryside of the Mull of Kintyre.

Days 5 & 6

From the Mull of Kintyre we will head north along the spectacular west coast towards the quaint port of Oban "Gateway to the Isles"to visit the beautiful Dunollie Castle, overlooking the bay, and the world-famous Oban Whiskey distillery. Continue north stopping for a climb up Ben Nevis, Britain's highest peak, and the infamous Glencoe, eerie site of the massacre of the MacDonald clan in 1692. Pass through the bustling harbor town of Fort William before driving the shores of Loch Lochy to Glengarry.

Days 7 & 8

Next we will explore the shores of Loch Ness making a stop to visit the stunning twelth century Urquhart Castle, or to wander the banks of the loch and try to get that elusive snap of the monster himself. At the head of Loch Ness we will find Inverness, the capital of the Highlands nestled on the banks of the river Ness.

Days 9 & 10

From Inverness we will travel in to the Grampian Highlands a region home to stunning natural scenery, prehstoric stonecircles, fortified mansions, fairytale castles and an abundance of whiskey distilleries. Stop at the home of malt Dhallas Dhu at Forres before visiting Elgin, where you'll find the Glen Moray distillery Elgin Cathedral and Spynie Palace . A short drive south at Dufftown is the georgian manor off Duff House and the famous Glenfiddich distillery standing in the shadows of the stunning Balvenie Castle .

Days 11 & 12

Explore the classic Georgian architecture and rich maritime history of Aberdeen before journeying south. Head to Forfar and the spires and turrets of Glamis Castle which featured in Shakespeare's Macbeth before crossing the Firth of Tay to St Andrews, a city which combines a vast history with a contemporary edge being home to Scotland's first university, a medieval castle , the spectacular St Andrews Cathedral ruins and of course the most famous golf course in the world. Continu south to the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Last Leg of the journey and then home.....

Kev and Mickey will journey in to the town centre of the Scottish Capital; Edinburgh. We will explore this magical city, wander the wide avenues of the Georgian new town and the winding, cobbled lanes of the medieval old town. Walk the Royal Mile, Visit the Spirit of the Tattoo and "Whiskey Experience" exhibitions before visiting Holyrood Palace and of course the stunning Edinburgh Castle wrapped in history, home to the scottish crown jewels and offering some of the most spectacular views over the city.
