VENUE

The historic Benicia Arsenal was built in the mid-late 1800's. From 1849 to 1964, the Benicia Arsenal housed millions of pounds of ammunition and explosives. Now it's home to some of the Bay Area's successful artists and craftpersons. In 1849 Benicia's founders gave 345 acres of land near the Carquinez Strait to the Army. In 1850 the Arsenal became the first ordinance supply depot on the West Coast, supplying equipment and munitions for conflicts from the Civil War through Korean War. The federal government decided to close the base in 1960 and in 1964 the Army turned the Arsenal over to the City of Benicia. The Arsenal became the hub of Benicia industry. Some of its large warehouses were used to store goods and some were converted to machine shops. It didn't take long for local artists to see the potential in the old buildings, and in the late '60s some warehouses were converted to studios. In 1991 the city rezoned parts of the Arsenal, making it possible for artists to live and work in their studios. About 9 acres (4 buildings) were converted. It enjoys 24-hour security (as a port) and is minutes from downtown Benicia. It's home to Arts Benicia, the nucleus of the local arts and culture scene.

CEREMONY

The ceremony will begin at 5:00pm sharp, and will be conducted by Michael Baldwin. Mike is a second father to Katie and has help raise her to become the person she is today. Mike and Bryan have become good friends from golfing rotary events. We are anticipating the ceremony to run about 30 minutes, and are excited to have a variety of readings, poems, and songs performed by close friends. Afterward, you will be able to enjoy cocktail hour with light appetizers until about 6:30pm. From there we will have a delicious dinner for both vegitarians and meat lovers!

RECEPTION

The reception will take place on the same property as the ceremony! The venue is complete with a dance floor, hosted bar of beer, wine, and champane, and speaker system. We invite you to join us on the dance floor once we have celebrated our first dance as huband and wife! .

HOW WE MET
We met at the Benicia Fitzgerald Baseball Field in the summer of 2000 when we were 14 and 15! Exactly one week after we met, Bryan said "I love you" at that very same spot.

WEDDING PARTY

Maid of Honor - Jessie Baldwin
Katie and Jessie have known each other their entire lives. They grew up as sisters! Although they are opposites in many ways, they have always challenged each other, stood by each other, and taught each other so much about life. They have gone through many tough times together. Jessie is the best friend and sister Katie could ever ask for! She cannot remember a time when she needed Jessie, that Jessie was not there. She is the most honest and loyal person Katie knows and lucky to call a friend.

Best Man - Joe Colomb
Joey is Bryan's oldest brother and only sibling. Their relationship has been very strong even when Bryan has his moments. Joe has been a strong person for Bryan to have around even through the tough times they've shared growing up. Joe has been a great brother for Bryan to look up to, and he lets Bryan be himself even if he's a little immature sometimes.

Bridesmaids in alphabetical order

Jennifer Zimmerman
Katie met Jen in Middle school. They share a love for being outdoors, getting creative, dancing and dressing up! In the early years of high school they often skateboarded to the bay and played in the water, created dance routines, set up parties, and had the time of their lives where ever they went! One of Katie's favorite memories is playing mud football with Jen at Bridgeview Park in Benicia. As adults, they love to eat dinner and get drinks on Pacific Ave. in Santa Cruz, and Katie is looking forward to finding new restaurants and bars when Jen moves to Stockton! No matter how far away they are, they will be great friends for life!!

Laura Crotty
Laura and Katie were roommates freshmen year of college at UC Santa Cruz. They moved off campus sophomore year and shared a room right by the ocean for the next two years. Laura and Katie are both left handed and generally share the same thoughts on topics! They also share a love for snowboarding (Laura taught Katie how to snowboard Freshman year of college). Laura is one of the kindest and caring people Katie has ever met!

Rachel Muth
Rachel and Katie met in Middle School and share a love for scrapbooking, playing board games, Disneyland, and being silly! Katie's fondest memories with Rachel are staying up late writing papers for class (or goofing off in class), playing taboo, getting kicked out of SAT prep, making a high school memory book, watching movies at the drive in, pretending to own huge houses, traveling to Disneyland, and Hawaii!! It does not matter what they do together, they always have a ridiculous amount of fun!

Sarah Baldwin
Katie considers Sarah to be her big sister. She taught Katie how to put on make-up, how to dress, and even how to shave her legs! She has been a huge role model and a dear friend. Katie has endless wonderful memories of camping in Chester, fishing at Jewel Lake, riding horses at "R" Ranch, playing "Ouija" board or Monopoly, and just hanging out in the summer! Sarah will always be her big sister and someone that Katie will always look up to!

Groomsmen in alphabetical order

Clayton Green
Bryan thinks of Clayton as a kind person that is very honest and genuine. He has always been there for Bryan through tough times. They have shared in great adventures that will be lasting memories forever. Although they will be fun to share someday, they are not all PG-13:) Their crazy debauchery are some of Bryan's favorite times.

Colin Katzakian
Bryan met Colin while racing Karts. Although their friendship started on rough roads when Colin tried to crash Bryan at Stockton Motorplex park, they soon became good friends. Some of Bryan's favorite memories are visiting Colin in Lodi, riding motorcycles up to Jackson, and cruising to bars in Sacramento. No matter what they are are doing, it is always fun.

Kenny Rebollini
Kenny has been a second brother to Bryan. They have known each other since they were two years old and even lived together for part of their lives. Kenny is there for Bryan no matter what happens in his life. He has been there for many challenges but also the best times.

Tad (Bud) Funakoshi
Bud and Bryan met through racing Karts. They have traveled across the west coast and Canada together. Some of Bryan's fondest memories and most fun times have been when Bud was there. Bryan thinks of Bud as a very honest and loyal friend. He can always count on him when times are tough.

HONEYMOON GIFT REGISTRY

First, we'd like to say that your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. The time, effort, and expense of traveling to be with us is something we deeply appreciate, and we are so thrilled that we will be able to celebrate this happy occasion with you.

We have been blessed to have many of the "essential" home items a newly engaged couple needs. We hope you find this honeymoon registry as a way to help us make our perfect vacation come true!

While we have taken many exciting trips together, we are very much looking forward to our first real adventure as husband and wife. It is because of the lifetime of memories we will gain from this trip that we finally settled on a honeymoon registry. We greatly appreciate and will fondly remember these gifts for years to come. After all, the memories from this honeymoon will last a lot longer than a new set of wine glasses!

We'll do our best to document our experience via photo and include it in your much-deserved "thank you" note.

Thanks again and we can't wait to see you at the wedding (or earlier!).

For our honeymoon we'll be heading to the Mexico coastline. It's a place neither of us has been and we are excited to spend our first couple weeks as a married couple learning about the culture, relaxing by the beach, and enjoying good food and wine! We will be sailing on Royal Carribbean's the Mariner of the Seas

Guests on Mariner of the Seas experience one of the most exciting cruise ships ever built. With a total length of 1,020 feet, a weight of 138,000 tons and a capacity to hold 3,114 passengers, Mariner of the Seas has something for everyone. Part of the Voyager class of cruise ships, which represents the highest public space-per-guest ratio in the cruise market, this spectacular ship was designed with enhanced staterooms, expanded dining options and state-of-the-art recreational facilities like a rock-climbing wall, ice-skating rink and basketball court.

Katie and Bryan will be flying to the Port of Los Angeles on August 29th.

Their first port of call is Cabo San Lucas. Once referred to as the "millionaire's sandbox," Cabo San Lucas is Mexico's jewel resort at the very tip of the Baja Peninsula. Its remote location and unspoiled beauty make this a seaside paradise. There they will snorkel in the clear, turquoise waters filled with manta rays, turtles, and hundreds of tropical fish at the Sea of Cortez also called, Lovers Beach.

Then they head to Mazatlan, Mexico! Mazatlan is an exciting mixture of old and new Mexico, Mazatl%uFFFDn has been blessed with a harbor of natural beauty. The neighboring mountain range rises as a majestic backdrop for this scenic city. As Mexico's first major resort community, Mazatl%uFFFDn owes its continued popularity to vast unspoiled beaches, first-class resorts and friendly people. They are planning to tour the legendary Sierra Madre mountain range, explore Mazatl%uFFFDn's long white-sand beaches, and tee off at the Estrella del Mar Golf Club, one of Mexico's premier golf courses.

Before heading home, they will be stopping at Puerto Vallarta, Mexico! This once-sleepy fishing village became a popular resort after The Night of the Iguana was filmed here in 1964. Nestled on the 28-mile curve of Banderas Bay, Puerto Vallarta has steadfastly held on to its character. Red tile roofs and rows of balconies, spilling over with colorful bougainvillea, still line its cobblestone streets. A pleasure for both the eye and the camera. There they are looking forward to exploring the back roads in an all terrain vehicle and rappelling through waterfalls into natural river pools!
