Hello Friends and Family,
We understand that a travel registry may be a wild and unknown concept to many of you. Please let us explain our thought process. We have always been more interested in traveling adventures and life experiences than things. Having lived independently, we have already acquired all the physical possessions one might need in a home. Additionally, we are eager to create memories that will last a lifetime and serve us well in difficult times.
Travel, speaking foreign languages (attempting to in Grace's case), meeting new people, and learning about different cultures are longstanding interests of ours and we are excited to kick of our marriage adventure by embarking on another type of adventure: world travel! The opportunity and flexibility to take this trip may never present itself again and we simply do not want to miss this chance. While we are making amazing memories, we will no doubt bring out the best and worst in each other. This is an adventure in and of itself. And what do we say to that? Onward Ho! Bon Voyage!
As our guests, we ask you to be thinking of your favorite travel memories, best destinations, must-do-before-you-die activities, and any traveling suggestions you might have for us as a newly wedded couple. Bring these thoughts to the reception. There will be a place for you to write them down and for us to learn from you!

We're going to AROUND THE WORLD!
Originally, we thought of visiting Mombasa, Istanbul, and Amman only. Based upon our research, it made sense to use an Around-the-World ticket, rather than separately booking flights for each of these three destinations. When we made this exciting discovery, we asked ourselves, why are we limiting the trip to just three cities? Hence, we adjusted our original idea and are now attempting an itinerary consisting of the following destinations: Rio De Janeiro, Cape Town, Mombasa, Cairo, Amman, Istanbul, St. Petersburg, Shanghai, and Beijing. Additional destinations we will try to reach via train or car include Sao Paulo, Johannesburg, Ankara, Moscow, and Jerusalem. We might never want to come back! Be sure to put in your post card and souvenir requests early!
Our trip is planned for September 2012 or March 2013. We have chosen these times because we would like to travel outside of peak season in order to make things cheaper. We also want to go when certain destinations are warm. We are not certain of our exact departure date, but know that we will be gone approximately a month in order to fully make use of our ticket and to fully celebrate our union.
