Hi everyone!!!
First off, we'd like to say that your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. The time, effort, and expense of traveling to be with us is something we deeply appreciate in our hearts, and we are so thrilled that we will be able to celebrate this happy occasion with you.
We have been blessed to have a lot of the "essential" home items a newly engaged couple needs. We hope you find this registry as a way to help us make our perfect honeymoon come true! Brett and I are looking forward to this being our first real adventure as husband and wife. It is because of the lifetime of memories we will gain from this trip that we finally settled on a honeymoon registry. We greatly appreciate and will fondly remember these gifts for years to come. After all, the memories from this honeymoon will last a lot longer than a new set of wine glasses.
We'll do our best to document our experience via photo and include it in your much-deserved "thank you" note.
Thanks again and we can't wait to see you at the wedding (or earlier!).
Love,
Brett and Susan
We're going to Roatan, Honduras!
We chose the Bay Islands in Roatan, Honduras as our honeymoon spot because we wanted something tropical and romantic. The Bay Islands are part of the Caribbean Islands that sit in the Gulf of Honduras...AND is one of the few spots in that has a rain forest...so this was definitely something that was a deal breaker for us! Brett loves to sit by the water and tan and I love to be adventurous with little day trips, so we are going to make sure that our 10-day honeymoon is sure to incorporate a lot of both!
About Roatan:
Roatan is the largest of the Bay Islands, which are a part of Honduras, lying just over 30 miles from the northern coast of the Honduran mainland.
Roatan is known around the world for its scuba diving. The reef surrounding the island attracts beautiful tropical fish and snorkelers alike. Dive attractions include sea walls, shipwrecks, a submerged airplane, and night diving. Sea turtles, dolphins, and whales swim in the waters of Roatan.
Parrots, iguana, and monkeys live in the wild on this tropical island. An iguana farm east of French Harbor provides a refuge for thousands of iguanas and is open for tourists. During crab season, island blue crabs come out at night by the thousands. The crabs climb trees to eat fruit.
We will be staying in a private bungalow at Barefoot Cay Resort. The resort is known for it's diving, so we may come back as certified scuba divers! The coral reefs are supposed to be the best and largest in the world. We will be ziplining through the rainforest, horseback riding along the beach and deep sea fishing for our dinner!
When we are done, we will return relaxed and tan!!
