We're going to Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao!
Our plan is to take two weeks to soak in some very much-needed vitamin D and relax on the picturesque beaches of the Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao Islands. The islands look amazing and are just far enough out of reach that it would be hard to make it here for a normal one-week vacation. Gabi and I enjoy the natural beauty of tropical destinations and love places with coral reefs, warm water, and interesting new cultures. Our other big trips to date have been diving down the blue hole in Belize and diving in the Florida Keys. We have to continue this tradition :)
We plan to land in Curacao the largest of the three islands and spend 4 days indulging in the culture and adjusting to island life. Next, we will take a puddle jumper East to Bonaire for 6 days, known for 87+ shore entry scuba diving sites and world-class snorkeling adventures. Finally, we will fly to Aruba, known for its fluffy soft white sand beaches and turquoise blue water. We will spend another 4 days here relaxing on the beaches and frolicking with flamingoes. (hopefully! I have a horrible track record for sitting still on beach trips and normally pack in way too many excursions, but we'll see ;-)
Then it is back to reality, continuing to work on our new kitchen project, playing pickleball with all our retired neighbors, and getting ready for a new family member in August!
