Hi everyone!
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit this site. We will forever treasure the love, generosity and well-wishes heaped upon us by family and friends during our engagement.
As we have been blessed to have a lot of the "essential" home items an engaged couple needs. We hope you find this registry as a way to help us make our perfect honeymoon come true! While Jaime and I have taken many exciting trips together, we are very much looking forward to our first real adventure as husband and wife. It is because of the lifetime of memories we will gain from this trip that we finally settled on a honeymoon registry. We greatly appreciate and will fondly remember these gifts for years to come. After all, the memories from this honeymoon will last a lot longer than a new set of wine glasses (especially at our breakage rate!).
We'll do our best to document our experience via photo and include some in your much-deserved "thank you" note.
Love,
Derek and Jaime
We're going to Grand Cayman!
First sited by Christopher Columbus the Cayman Islands consists of three islands: Grand Cayman; smaller Cayman Brac; and Little Cayman. The Caymans are located in the Carribean Sea, 180 miles northwest of Jamaica and 480 miles due south of Miami.
Grand Cayman is a lush tropical paradise that can keep any couple looking for an active and romantic honeymoon as happy as they can be for the length or their stay.
The Caymans are a haven for snorkelers and scuba enthusiasts alike. Whether it’s a swim with stingrays or a dive to explore the remains of one its several shipwrecks, the Caymans offer plenty for the water enthusiast. There’s no better way to experience Grand Cayman than under the azure waters of the Caribbean Sea, surrounded by colorful corals and exotic wildlife.
Spending time on land in Grand Cayman can be just as adventurous, or equally tranquil. Grand Cayman's beaches are considered to be among the best in the world, the favorite is Seven Mile Beach. The Island's history is also rich in exotic detail, with museums and parks to visit: The Cayman Turtle Farm sets an example for environmental conservation and preservation of the species; The Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park is a 65-acre national treasure; and The National Trust's Mastic Trail is a 2 mile footpath through unspoiled woodlands and caves on the North Side.
A couple can also find luxury in the Cayman Islands, with plenty of opportunities to relax, unwind, and be pampered. Grand Cayman offers world class luxury spas, golf courses and high end shopping boutiques.
Whether it's a trip under the sea to feed the stingrays, an excursion to The Cayman Turtle Farm, or a journey into the past to revisit the first landing by Christopher Columbus...a feast for the senses-and sensibilities-awaits.
