Ben & I came up with tons of ideas for gifts to put on our registry. I had 3 different websites because I wanted people to have options for cost and be able to order from websites they were comfortable with.
A few months later I started thinking about where we would put these said gifts, if people decided to purchase them. We already have everything we need really. We were putting things on the registry that we just liked but didn't necessarily need.
Then, my best friend and Maid of Honor, Whitney, reminded me that her brother and his fiancé did a honeymoon registry for their trip to Africa. I wasn't sure how it worked and thought it sounded complicated. But Whitney assured me it was actually just an easy website that you set up. You can pick different activities and travel fare and have guests contribute to each activity. Sounded easy enough to me.
So we decided that traveling is way more fun than receiving items. The memories of a vacation will last forever and be more cherished in the end. And since it's been years since either of us have been to Europe, we decided this was a great honeymoon idea. So the goal here is Norway, Denmark, Germany, France and Spain.
With all of that being said, we have kept a few essentials available on a regular registry for those that don't feel that this is an appropriate gift.
We can't wait to see you all in June and celebrate this wonderful day with you all. Massachusetts can be beautiful at that time of year and we are looking forward to showing off our home here in Boston to our out of town guests as well. We know traveling for a wedding can be a pain, but hopefully you can make a vacation of it and see some of the beautiful sites and history this city has to offer.
XO,
Jenny and Ben
We're going to Europe!
Reykjavik, Iceland
Oslo, Norway to learn about the vikings at various museums, that Ben claims are his ancestors.
Split, Croatia: The largest city on the Adriatic Coast, seaside delight Split has been under Roman, Venetian, Austrian, French, Italian and Yugoslav control. There is an abundance of restaurants and wine cellars. Sites such as Diocletian's Palace and Mausoleum, the Grgur Ninski Statue and the Cathedral and Bell Tower of St. Domnius justify its position as a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site. The city's coves offer several lovely beaches, including central Bacvice.
