Thanks for checking out our honeymoon site!

We are so looking forward to our Mendocino wedding on November 6, 2010.
Our wedding may seem a little off beat: a teensy vegan wedding with no cut flowers and a celebration of sustainability. But would you expect anything else from us?

We are also really looking forward to setting off on our California adventure.
We couldn't think of anything better than taking this opportunity to explore our backyard.
We will honeymoon road trip through California, down to San Simeon and Hearst Castle, onto Santa Barbara for Glamping in El Capitan Canyon, and then off to Death Valley for some ghost towns, trail running, and hiking!
We couldn't be more excited. We are doing this on a shoestring and plan on enjoying making memories along the way. We promise to take lots of pictures. Thanks so much for helping us celebrate our life together!

We're going to Honeymoon Road Trip!!

We are going on a lovely California adventure. First stop, Kevin's pick, Hearst Castle in San Simeon. Next up, glamping in Santa Barbara at El Capitan Canyon. And then, Death Valley for some spooky ghost towns and amazing landscape!
We are soooo excited. Along the way we will learn about old Hollywood History, cook up some S'mores, and explore some new favorite places!

Lunch at Nepenthe. Driving down to San Simeon, we will stop for lunch at Nepenthe. Nepenthe is legendary in Claifornia for its amazing views and folklore. Rita Hayworth and Orson Welles fell in love with the site, and it is featured in The Sandpiper!

Our first overnight stop! We will stay at a hotel in San Simeon, The stay includes tickets to a Hearst Castle Tour! Hollywood history and glamour!

Lunch at Shine Cafe! As we drive down the coast from Hearst Castle to Santa Barbara, we will stop for lunch at Shine Cafe in Morro Bay, a for real hippie Cali veggie joint. Tempeh Reuben? Power Pita? What would you choose?

Glamping at El Capitan Canyon! What is glamping? Glamourous camping! El Capitan Canyon offers gorgeous canvas safari tents with hardwood floors and a deck. We will trail run, relax on the beach, and grill up veggie dawgs and s'mores!!!

Furnace Creek Ranch! Furnace Creek Ranch is one of only three places to stay within Death Valley. While in Death Valley we will explore the Devils Golfcourse, get a taste of what it woud be lke to run Badwater, and schmooze with Big Horned Sheep.

Horse back riding in Death Valley! Okay, this may sound risky to Kevin, but this 2 hour trail ride will give us a true cowboy experience and amazing views of the valley. Giddy up!

Amargosa Opera House! 30 miles outside of Death Valley. We will visit Death Valley National Park and the natural hotsprings in nearby Tecopa. Please check out the website, it is a unique and amazing spot, and Marta Becket's story is quite unusual.
