Hello dearest friends and loved ones!

On November 13, 2021 Mary proposed. Have you seen the video? It is pretty epic and you can find it on our website (www.hawaiilit.org/gatheringtree) and here we are celebrating our love days before setting out for extensive travel. Many of you know that we are currently in the process of ridding ourselves of almost all Earthly possessions and hitting the road (and sky and rails and sea) for a bit.

What do you get a bunch of wild lesbians who are giving ALL of their stuff away? Fret no more! Here is a big ol' list of epic things that will make our travels so much better. Take a look around and select something that resonates with you. We promise to send postcards, capture video, and document the adventure and you can follow along on our website. We're going to Germany, Italy, and Croatia!

Living on the Island of Hawaiʻi means that not everyone can come to your wedding, so we are bringing the wedding to YOU! We start in Oregon with dear friends and a giant celebration for Mary's 35th birthday! A road trip with some family, a stop in California, possibly some storytelling adventures in St. Louis, winter gear stock up in Maine, and then it is across the pond we go.

We swing through Hamburg first to retrace ancestral emigration routes, then on to Berlin for all of the museums and a meet up with a researcher from Poland, down to the Schwarzwald (Black Forest) for some epic family time at Christmas, a stop in Geneva for a connect that may some day lead to Krystal's dream of designing for the UN, and then on to Italy!

In Italy we have a 6 year old birthday party in Rome and connecting with the Italian side of Krystal's family in Sicily. Sadly, by then we will have reached the limit of our Schengen visa so we head to Croatia on a Digital Nomad visa.

We will wrap it all up with a shipwreck free dive on Lake Superior in August and then back to Hawaiʻi in September before setting off for the Philippines in 2023.
