Hey everyone and welcome to our 'registry!'

It has long been a dream of ours to go on a safari, which combines our love of adventure and our love of animals into one. We've consulted with a travel agent and have come up with a fantastic trip worthy of honeymoon status to Tanzania and Zanzibar!

The Tanzania safari will be perfectly timed during the 'big migration.' Every year the wildebeest go north from Tanzania into Kenya; our trip will follow them along as they make their way through the desert, across rivers, and over plains. Along the way, we hope to see elephants, hippos, rhinos, and of course Brandon's favorite - the cheetah!

After eight days in Tanzania we'll make our way west to the island of Zanzibar for a few days of beachy fun and to explore what this exotic island has to offer.

Day 2: From Arusha we'll travel by caravan to Tarangire National Park, where they have the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem, including more than 550 bird varieties and giant termite mounds!

Though there are no big game animals in Zanzibar, there are monkeys, antelopes, bush pigs and mongoose. We'll spend a day exploring Zanzibar Town and perusing the markets for art and souvenirs.

Zanzibar is also known for its spice plantations, and tours run frequently. It would be cool to see how vanilla beans, curry, cinnamon and cloves look before they get bottled and sent to the grocery store!
