August 30, 2013

Hi everyone and thank you for visiting our honeymoon registry. We are so excited to share our special day with you. We've put together a little photo slideshow of the many places we have already visited so far. We hope you enjoy it!

As two people who love to travel, we are looking forward to planning the trip of a lifetime - one that we will be able to look back on and reminisce for years to come. Our very first trip as husband and wife will be to France! With that being said, we welcome our family and friends to participate in helping us plan our dream honeymoon!

Thank you for considering a truly memorable gift in celebration of our wedding! We look forward to seeing you all on August 30, 2013!

Love always,

Alena & Mike

We're going to Paris, France!

So you might be wondering, why would two people who have just recently been to both Paris and Cannes choose to go back for their honeymoon? Why not try somewhere new? Why not pick a caribbean or tropical destination to relax for an entire week? After careful thought and consideration we came to the following conclusion...lets head back to two cities we love but haven't had enough time in to explore.

We first traveled to Paris in January 2012 and although we were able to visit most of the major tourist attractions, the trip was rushed and we didn't feel like we had enough time to truly enjoy the city. We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our new marriage than sipping on red wine and champagne while looking out at the Eiffel Tower. We plan to start our honeymoon with four nights in Paris going back to some of our favorite places and restaurants while also trying some new ones along the way.

While in Paris we plan on taking two day trips. One trip to Champagne region of France and another short train ride to a medieval city of Bruges in Belgium. We're very excited to visit two new places and are looking forward to the adventures there!

After our time in Paris we are going to take a train ride to the south of France and spend the remainder of our honeymoon in Cannes. In September 2012, we took a 7 day Mediterranean cruise to Naples, Rome, Florence, Cannes and Marseille. Although we loved each of the cities, there was just something very special about Cannes. We didn't plan an excursion while there and figured we would just get off the cruise ship and explore the city. We fell in love with the beaches, view of the ocean, shops lining the streets and small cafes packed with people. We are looking forward to
heading back there for some R&R on the beach and of course a little shopping!

How It Works

Traveler's Joy is a registry service, not a travel agency. With the help of Traveler's Joy we have been given the freedom to book our honeymoon with whomever we like, and redeem our gifts whenever we are ready.

Below you will see a list of items and activities from our honeymoon. Large items, such as train tickets and hotel stays, are broken down into small increments. By providing a variety of listings, we hope to give you the opportunity to select a gift that reflects your personal style and budget. An email detailing your gift will be sent to us immediately.

Once again, we thank you for visiting our registry!

Our first time in Paris we tried Le Refuge des Fondues, a well known restaurant in Montmarte. Serving only meat or cheese fondue and red or white wine in baby bottles it is a restaurant and experience that should not be missed!

During our first trip to Paris, we set aside one night to go up to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately, that one night was raining and foggy. We are hoping for better weather this time around!
