Hi folks!

We created this honeymoon registry in response to the many times we have been asked what we wanted for a wedding gift. There is only one honest answer to this question - we would love the company of our friends and family as we make a lifelong promise to each other. But for whatever reason, that answer never seems to settle the question.

We are extraordinarily fortunate to have most of what we need for our home together, but we created a traditional registry at Crate and Barrel for the remaining "wish list" items. What was highest on our wish list, however, was creating memories together on our first trip together as husband and wife.

This registry is not a solicitation, but more of a wish list for our honeymoon. We are going to Sayulita, Mexico, a small fishing and surfing village just north of Puerto Vallarta on December 13th through December 19th. Once we get there, we are going to play most of it by ear, but we have some ideas for things to do to pass the time!

We're going to Sayulita, Mexico!

The picturesque fishing village of Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico is nestled in a palm tree-lined bay just 45 minutes north of the Puerto Vallarta airport, offering visitors and residents incredible beaches, lush jungles and a taste of rural Mexico in an incredibly safe environment. With cobblestone streets hosting dogs, chickens and playing children, Sayulita is a half-century away from the nearby Puerto Vallarta.

Airport Transfers: Ordinarily, we would hop a local bus and enjoy the 1.5 ride on a crowded bus on bumpy road, but because it is our honeymoon, we are going first class - 35 minutes in an air conditioned minivan.

Golf Cart Rental: Sayulita is a small village with dirt roads and cobblestone streets. The locals suggest renting a golf cart, rather than a car, and that suits our fear of Mexican driving just fine.

Dinner at Don Pedros: by all accounts, this is the best restaurant in town, with fresh seafood and an unbeatable beachfront location. We intend to eat our weight in street tacos and guacamole, so this will be our lone occasion to wear long pants.
