We are headed back to Hawaii! We fell in love with Hawaii when we went there in November, 2017. It is a special place for many reasons, but a big reason is we got engaged there! Tucker had been to the Big Island with his family as a teenager, but Maui was our first trip together, witb mt parents. We are so excited to go back and explore more of the most remote island chain in the world!

Our journey will begin on the Garden Isle - Kauai. I am told by many people, including my friend Diana (a former resident of Maui (not to mention, one of my lovely bridesmaids), that Kauai is the most beautiful! We have booked a beautifil condo unit just steps from the beach in sunny Poipu, on Kauai’s south shore. We will experience the lush beauty, and see some of the gorgeous, mountainous terrain that Kauai is known for, both by land and sea. We would like to take a catamaran excursion to see the beautiful and dramatic cliffs on the Napali Coastline. Here, we will also be able to do some day hikes and other activities that I know will make Tucker very happy!

We will spend the second of our trip back in our first love of Hawaii - Maui. We have booked a ground floor, walk-out oceanfront condo unit at the Ma’alaea Kai resort. We plan to see some of the things we saw last time (road to Hana, sunrise on Haleakala, Mama's Fish House), but there were also parts of Maui we didn't get to, such as the Ka'anapali Beach area and the North Shore. Hopefully we will make it back to Maluaka beach where we were engaged, and we both really hope to see turtles! We would like to to trek to see the Nakelele Blowhole & Heart Shaped Rock (don't worry, Mom - we will wear good shoes, stay off the wet rocks and away from the blowhole!) We will also explore a bit more of the upcountry area. Maui is also home to a lavender farm, a dairy goat farm, a winery, and a vodka distillery, some of which we may have a chance to get back to, or go to for the first time.

Overall, we think this honeymoon will be the best of both worlds. Beautiful, relaxing beaches, a tropical climate, lush foliage, and lots things to do, see, EAT, and explore!
