We'd like to say that your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. The time, effort, and expense of traveling to be with us is something we deeply appreciate in our hearts, and we are so thrilled that we will be able to celebrate this happy occasion with you.

There are many household essentials we would enjoy, which you can find on our registry with Bed Bath & Beyond. However, if you would prefer to give us the gift of an experience, rather than an item, we hope you will find this registry useful. While we have taken many exciting trips together, we are very much looking forward to our first real adventure as husband and wife. It is because of the lifetime of memories we will gain from this trip that we finally settled on a honeymoon registry. We greatly appreciate and will fondly remember these gifts for years to come.

We'll do our best to document our experience via photo and include it in your much-deserved "thank you" note.

Thanks again and we can't wait to see you at the wedding (or earlier!).

We're going to New York City!

During a visit to New York City over the winter holidays in 2009, we experienced many of the wonderful opportunities the Big Apple has to offer.

We visited the Temple of Dendur in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We discussed an insightful Broadway show together over a late dinner. We laughed at each other as we stumbled around the ice skating rink in Rockefeller Center. We held hands and sipped hot cocoa while viewing the wonderful Christmas windows of Saks Fifth Avenue...

And later that evening, as dusk was falling, James insisted on taking a horse drawn carriage through Central Park. The beautiful grounds were covered with a thick blanket of snow that deadened all sound, except the click of the horse's hooves and the muted laughter of children playing in the snow. After a day filled with lovely memories, and surrounded by such overwhelming natural beauty, we exchanged "I love you"s for the first time.

When we set about planning our honeymoon, it did not take long to settle on revisiting New York City.
